Library Services

Osias Educational Foundation has improved their library, has made it more spacious and stocked with new books serving as references of students in their research works. The library has been equipped with air condition units and  computer units to be used during their free and scheduled time. Students are therefore encouraged to make use of the facility properly and productively. The librarians are kind and are every willing to attend to student’s needs in the library.

Library Policy

Fines and Penalties

  1. Overdue books are charged with a fine of ten pesos (Undergraduate students) and fifteen pesos (Graduate students) a day per book.
  2. Lost books must be replaced with the same title or later edition and the corresponding fine must be paid from the time the book was reported. Lost books should be reported immediately to avoid incurring fines.

General Rules

  1. Always sign-in in the logbook upon entering the library.
  2. School ID card is non-transferable. Library privileges of transferred ID’s will be suspended.
  3. Abide with the following rules: no eating, no littering, no defacing of book pages, and silence is expected at all times.
Loaning System
  1. Search the call no., title,and, author of the book from the Card Catalogue.
  2. Proceed to the section where the book is located.
  3. Proceed to the counter for proper checking out of the book/s. Fill out the necessary information in the book cards.
  4. In returning the borrowed books, go directly to the counter for proper checking in.
  5. Book/s can be renewed for up to 2x for both undergraduate and graduate students provided that these are not needed by other users.

Sections
  1. Reference Section
    This section has general references like bibliographies, dictionaries, directories, atlases, bibliographical indexes, encyclopedias, guidebooks, manuals, maps, etc. All materials are for room use only.
  2. Periodicals/Serials Section
    This contains all local and foreign journals, magazines and newspapers, and vertical files. All materials are for room use only.
  3. Filipiniana Section
    Books and other materials on various subjects or topics written by Filipino authors, or about the Philippines, or published in the Philippines are found in this section. Also included are the theses and dissertations.
    Undergraduate Students: Maximum of 2 Filipinianabooks for overnight only; Graduate Students: Maximum of 3 books for seven days (incuding General Circulation books).
  4. General Circulation Section
    This is an open shelf section where subject references on humanities, language, pure sciences, applied sciences, social sciences, history, and literatures are found. Undergraduate Students: Maximum of 3 books 2 days; Graduate Students: Maximum of 3 books (including Filipiniana) for seven days.
  5. Camilo O. Osias Corner
    This includes the published books of the school founder. 
Other Services
  1. Current Awareness Service
    This service gives awareness of the latest acquisitions and developments concerning the library, thru bulletin board displays and social media announcements.
  2. Library Orientation
    This service is given to all freshmen and transferee students every first semester of the school year to familiarize them with the use of the library and its resources.

Saturdays: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
Sundays & Holidays: Closed
• During Semestral/Christmas/Summer break – no user’s services
